Top 10 Israel beaches

Dead Sea Beach, Southern Israel

As a small country with 4 different seas, Israel is well-known for its wide variety of amazing beaches, offering great weather, calm waters, and a great chance to relax on the shore. Here, we have gathered the ultimate list of the best Israel beaches, for the best beach experience you can have in this beautiful sunny land.

Best Mediterranean beaches

Achziv Beach and Achziv National Park

When you arrive at Achziv Beach, you will understand why it is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Israel: a beautiful coastline with two picturesque bays, bordered by a stunning blue-turquoise sea. This is the perfect beach to spend time and relax on, whether you are swimming on the beach, wading in the water, or snorkeling and admiring the sea life in the clear waters.

Apart from all these, you will find two ancient water pools on Achziv Beach, carved out of rock by nature and suitable for swimming: one with deep water and the other with shallow water, which is great for children. In addition, if you want to experience the place to the fullest, there is an organized and comfortable overnight campsite here.

Palmachim beach

A little south of Rishon Letzion lies one of the most popular beaches in Israel, almost always very crowded with bathers for good reasons. Palmachim beach is a very organized and convenient beach, as it has toilets, showers, and lifeguard services. In addition, right next to the parking lot, in front of the beach, there is a pleasant grove with picnic tables. Those looking for a little more room and privacy can drive further south, towards the Kurkar cliff at the southern edge of the beach, providing a stunning location to relax on the beach away from the crowds.

Atlit Beach

A view of an ancient Crusader fortress, a beautiful virgin sandy beach, and a romantic and old fishing bridge make the beach in Atlit one of the most beautiful Israel beaches and a popular spot for wedding photographs. The coastline here is quite short, but full of grace and fun to wander along and enjoy the natural beauty. On the beach, there is a surfing club as well as a food truck, which runs a live jam for local artists on Thursdays.

Habonim-Dor Beach

One of the most beautiful beaches in Israel, Habonim Beach is a short, rocky coastline, one of the only parts of the Mediterranean that is not entirely flat. Here, you’ll find small, charming bays with turquoise seawater, impressive rock formations, and diverse sea life.

Zikim Beach

The southernmost beach in the Israeli Mediterranean coastline, Zikim Beach is one of the last unspoiled beaches left in the country and is known for vibes similar to the Sinai Peninsula beaches. It is a spacious, long beach, with soft golden sand, impressive vegetation, and clusters of palms.

Best Tel Aviv and Herzliya beaches

Acadia beach

Acadia Beach in Herzliya is one of our favorite spots. Its wide, clean sandy strip, combined with modern facilities, makes every visit especially enjoyable. The beach offers lifeguard services, showers, restrooms, and rental options for sunbeds and umbrellas, ensuring a perfect day by the sea. Easy parking and elevators providing direct access make it particularly convenient for families and individuals with disabilities. Nearby restaurants and cafés offer a variety of culinary options. Acadia Beach caters to everyone—from tourists and sports enthusiasts to families with kids. As an Israeli who loves the beach, I find it the ideal place to relax, soak up the sun, and enjoy quality time with loved ones.

Best Eilat beaches

Migdalor (lighthouse) Beach

Migdalor Beach, named after the lighthouse across the road, is one of the southernmost beaches in Israel – just south of Eilat and right near the border with Egypt. This is the perfect place for travelers who want to feel the Sinai Peninsula vibes, without actually having to cross the border. Here, you can hang out, relax, enjoy the chill-out music that plays throughout the day and night, and forget about the world.

Despite the feeling of the edge of the world, the beach is a regulated place with convenient facilities, enabling you to use the toilets and showers, eat and drink at the beach bar and even rent beach mattresses and snorkeling equipment. It’s also a great place for divers to enjoy the spectacular Eilat Reef.

Hadeqel Beach

Hadeqel Beach in Eilat features impressive nature, with many palm trees next to the clear water. Those, alongside the sunbathing raft, and the many facilities on the beach, will all make you feel that you are on vacation in a dreamlike atmosphere. The place also has a bar, restaurant, and a diving club, as well as a water sports center that offers a variety of water attractions for lovers of the extreme. The beach has toilets and showers, free parking, easy access to the water, and seating areas with chairs and sunbeds.

Best Sea of Galilee and Dead Sea beaches

Gofra Beach

Gofra Beach is one of the most beloved beaches in the Sea of Galilee, as the abundance of eucalyptus trees here creates a rather pastoral atmosphere, which is also preserved due to it being a quiet beach where playing music is prohibited. Here, you’ll find several water sports activities, with the option to rent SUP, jet skis, and boats. In addition, there are developed camping options on the beach, toilets, and showers with hot water, and a complex of tents for rent.

Bora Bora Beach

The beach, located in the northern part of the city of Tiberias, is one of the most beautiful Sea of Galilee beaches, as it is surrounded by natural springs, and lies in one of the most pristine and wild areas left around the lake. The beach was designed in the style of the original Bora Bora island in French Polynesia in the Pacific Ocean – where the person who takes care of the beach used to live a few decades ago. The buildings on the beach are built of bamboo and straw, and in its territory, you’ll find many well-maintained seating areas.   The beach offers a variety of water sports activities and sometimes holds popular beach parties.

Biankini Beach

A beach located in the northern part of the Dead Sea. This is the perfect beach for visitors looking for fun activities and is suitable for the whole family. In addition to the beach itself, on Biankini, you will find a restaurant and an accommodation area, alongside a lively bar, swimming pools, a spa, a children’s club, several shops, and more.
You will also find here an abundance of natural black mud on the beach, which you can apply to your body and enjoy its many health benefits.
